Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Student Assistant to join our Purchasing Department. This part-time position is designed for students who are currently enrolled at GGC and are looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment. The Purchasing Student Assistant will report directly to the Director of Purchasing and will play a crucial role in supporting the functions related to PCards and purchasing processes within the college. In this role, the Purchasing Student Assistant will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing emails and inquiries from the campus community regarding PCards. This includes maintaining both physical and digital documents for record-keeping purposes, as well as conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews to ensure compliance and readiness for audits. The assistant will also review monthly statements from PCard holders to verify that transactions are appropriate and that all necessary receipts are included. Follow-up communication with PCard holders will be necessary to address any discrepancies or questions that may arise. Additionally, the assistant may be assigned other administrative duties as needed to support the Purchasing Department's operations.
