About the position

UAF Community and Technical College is seeking a Student Assistant to significantly contribute to the operational success of the college and enhance the overall student experience. This role will directly impact the delivery of high-quality educational services and improve the functionality of our programs, benefiting the entire UAF community. Success in this position requires a blend of meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality are crucial for effectively supporting the college community and ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes. This dynamic role offers you the chance to gain valuable office experience, contribute to our vibrant academic community, and develop essential organizational and professional skills, all within a flexible and supportive work environment. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proficiency in computer systems for data management, and a proactive attitude in dealing with assigned tasks. This part-time position is available to current UA students enrolled in at least 6 credits with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Previous experience or related coursework is preferred but not mandatory. Successful candidates will contribute to the efficient operation of office functions and enhance the overall student experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt, student position. Starting wage is $15.26/hour. This position is located within UAF Community and Technical College in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a temporary pooled position, which means that the recruitment remains open over the entire academic year and applicants are reviewed on an as-needed basis.
