About the position

The Student Brand Ambassador for Westlaw serves as a key representative on campus, promoting Westlaw as the leading legal research platform among law students. This role involves engaging with the law school community, utilizing social media for brand awareness, and building professional relationships to enhance Westlaw's usage and preference among students.

Responsibilities

  • Educate law students on why Westlaw is the number one research solution.
  • Effectively utilize social media to increase awareness of Westlaw's brand, events, and classes.
  • Drive brand marketing by being highly approachable and influencing large target audiences.
  • Build professional working relationships with your legal writing program, library, and school administrators.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to assist students with research assignments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of campus events and activities.

Requirements

  • Current student at the specific school of Law, in good standing.
  • Creative mindset with a high sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with students, professors, and librarians.
  • Ability to build and leverage social media networks to drive student engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of legal research and online legal research tools.
  • Willingness to learn Westlaw and other Thomson Reuters products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leadership experience and campus involvement (sports, clubs, organizations).
  • Existing social media presence on multiple platforms.
