About the position

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is seeking a dedicated Administrative Specialist to join our Student Center operations. This full-time position is pivotal in supporting various functions within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services. The Administrative Specialist will work under the general supervision of the Director of the Student Center, collaborating closely with multiple departments including the Campus Card Office, Campus Reservations, Housing and Residence Life, Student Engagement & Connections, and Dining Services. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing student experiences and providing exceptional customer service. In this position, the Administrative Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the management of campus services such as ticketing, vending, bookstore operations, banking, laundry, and value transfer stations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that these services run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive campus environment. The Administrative Specialist will also be involved in advising, training, and assisting student workers, fostering a supportive and educational atmosphere for student employees. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the Campus Card Office and Campus Reservations.
  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to students and staff.
  • Support various campus services including ticketing, vending, bookstore, banking, laundry, and value transfer stations.
  • Advise, train, and assist student workers in their roles.
  • Collaborate with departments within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in advising or training student workers is preferred.
