About the position
The Student Conduct Administrator at Emory University is responsible for investigating and resolving non-academic misconduct allegations involving undergraduate students and student groups. This role emphasizes the administration of cases, facilitating alternative conflict resolution, and supporting educational outreach initiatives within the campus community.
Responsibilities
- Review and resolve individual student conduct matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Investigate alleged individual and/or student group misconduct and produce quality investigative reports.
- Facilitate restorative actions for individual and student group accountability cases.
- Assist with proactive educational events and trainings related to student conduct.
- Facilitate training and outreach to community members involved in the conduct process.
- Develop educational materials for specialized learning opportunities related to student conduct processes.
- Identify and implement best practices for student conduct and accountability.
- Advise the Peer Accountability Board and/or Conduct Council Panel Hearing(s) as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of university policies, laws, and best practices related to student conduct.
Requirements
- Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, counseling, or a related field.
- Three years of higher education/student affairs professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of direct student conduct and/or student group accountability experience.
- Experience with facilitating restorative practice/alternative dispute resolution pathways.
- Demonstrated knowledge of student conduct best practices and higher education legal issues.
