The Student Employee, Co-Editor position at Blazer involves managing the reporting staff, editing content, and overseeing the production of the newspaper. Responsibilities

• Manage reporting staff; edit paper; write stories; help with layout.
• Conduct regular staff meetings.
• Determine size of paper with Production Manager.
• Meet all printing deadlines.
• Provide leadership for all other employees.
• Coordinate and supervise online version of the newspaper.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Enrolled in 6 credit hours toward your declared major at JJC.
• Minimum of 2.0 GPA or above.
• Must have editing and writing skills.
• Experience working for the Blazer or another publication in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to lead others in a team environment.
