About the position

The Student Graphic Designer position at Sam Houston State University is a part-time role within the Department of Student Involvement: Leadership & Service. The primary purpose of this position is to support the marketing and design needs of departmental staff and over 250 student organizations. The role emphasizes creativity and collaboration, allowing students to contribute to community engagement and student success through various design projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and design flyers, posters, logos, emblems, t-shirt designs, brochures, and other marketing materials.
• Collaborate with departmental professional staff to meet their design needs.
• Produce high-quality graphic design work using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign on a Mac.

Requirements

• Good oral and written communication skills.
