About the position

The Student Employment position for FA24 ECCS 3451 UI/UX Design offers a unique opportunity for current ONU students to engage in a hands-on learning experience while supporting the Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science department. This role is designed for students who are looking to enhance their academic journey through practical involvement in tutoring, teaching assistance, and lab support. As a tutor or teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the learning process for your peers, assisting faculty during lab hours, and ensuring that the lab environment is conducive to learning and experimentation. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include assisting faculty with grading, setting up and cleaning up lab materials, and organizing lab supplies. You will also be expected to assist with class-related activities and provide support to fellow students by answering questions and helping them with materials and equipment. Maintaining the security of the lab and its contents during open lab hours is also a critical aspect of this role, as is monitoring the sign-in and sign-out process for lab access. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions, providing instruction and training to enhance the skills of your peers. This position requires a commitment to following department policies and procedures, as well as a professional demeanor and effective communication skills. The role is flexible and may involve other duties as assigned by your supervisor, making it an excellent opportunity for students to develop their organizational and multitasking abilities while contributing to the academic success of their fellow students.

Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty during lab hours
