About the position

The Student Employment - Object Oriented Programming TA/Grader position is designed for current ONU students to assist faculty in the Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science department. This role involves tutoring, grading, and supporting lab activities, providing a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in an academic setting while contributing to the learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty during lab hours
• Assist faculty with grading
• Provide set-up and clean-up if applicable
• Organize, restock, and maintain lab supplies
• Assist with class-related activities
• Assist other students with questions, materials, and equipment
• Maintain materials such as specimens, living plants, and/or animals
• Monitor lab sign in and sign out
• Oversee open lab practice
• Maintain security of lab and its contents during open lab hours
• Provide tutor support
• Provide desk coverage when needed
• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students
• Provide instruction, training, and skill development
• Follow department policies and procedures
• Come to work as scheduled by supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
