About the position

The Student Enrollment & Recruitment Ambassador at KIPP SoCal Public Schools is responsible for driving student enrollment efforts for KIPP Adelante in San Diego. This role focuses on strategic outreach, relationship-building, and direct engagement with families to meet ambitious enrollment goals for the 2025-26 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement and a commitment to educational equity, working to inspire trust and connect with diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designated points of contact to generate lead applications and secure enrollment for assigned school(s).
• Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for KIPP SoCal, engaging with families and community members at events.
• Create and maintain a community asset map to identify recruitment opportunities.
• Develop and implement targeted student recruitment plans, including outreach to community organizations and local businesses.
• Collect and track prospective family information at events using HubSpot and respond to leads within 24 business hours.
• Partner with the marketing team to create school-specific social media content and highlight school events.
• Cultivate positive relationships with prospective families throughout the recruitment process.
• Plan and lead school tours for prospective families, addressing their questions and providing an engaging experience.
• Assist with recruitment-related activities as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience with data management, including data entry and reporting.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to attend various locations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in door-to-door canvassing and community engagement.
• Familiarity with Southeast San Diego.
