About the position

The Student Facilitator at Reading Area Community College (RACC) is responsible for providing intensive case management services to historically underserved students receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. This role involves orienting students to the KEYS Program, guiding them through the enrollment process, and supporting their academic journey to ensure successful completion of their educational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct KEYS orientation and intake with students referred by the County Assistance Office.
  • Enroll students in the KEYS Program by accepting referrals and conducting face-to-face intake interviews.
  • Assist KEYS students in the enrollment process and review participation requirements.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver comprehensive case management services through regular meetings.
  • Support KEYS students in resolving compliance-related issues by collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Submit requests for Special Allowances for KEYS students to the County Assistance Office.
  • Track progress, student learning outcomes, and assessment of student participation.
  • Monitor student compliance and ensure attendance and satisfactory academic progress.
  • Provide updates to the County Assistance Office regarding student compliance.
  • Maintain confidential student files.
  • Serve as a liaison with the County Assistance Office and Bureau of Employment and Training Programs.
  • Develop and instruct academic programming, workshops, and facilitate support groups as necessary.
  • Assist with program reports required by the Department of Human Services.
  • Provide data for evaluating student and program outcomes.
  • Assist in program evaluation as determined by the Director.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and trainings as requested by the Director.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or closely related field, OR Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
