About the position
The Student Financial Services Representative plays a crucial role in higher education administration by providing a customer-focused approach to assist students with their financial accounts. This position serves as the first point of contact for students, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues related to financial aid and university policies. The representative will engage in various transactions, support scholarship initiatives, and ensure smooth financial operations within the university.
Responsibilities
- Provide a cross-functional, student-focused approach to service in a one-stop environment for Financial Aid and Student Accounts.
- Process various transactions for students' financial records.
- Advise and assist students with issues related to University policies and procedures.
- Assist with scholarships and other financial aid projects for the Director of Financial Aid.
- Perform daily opening and closing cash procedures.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- AA degree and 3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Must be a self-starter with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under minimal supervision.
