About the position

The Student Intern - Mechanical position at Stanley Consultants offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems across various project types. Interns will work on projects related to building mechanical systems, district heating, chilled water plants, and energy infrastructure, allowing them to develop a comprehensive understanding of the field while contributing to real-world applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of mechanical systems for various project types.
• Assist in projects related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Support the design and implementation of district and central heating systems.
• Contribute to campus-type utility distribution systems and industrial/process facilities.
• Engage in power and infrastructure retrofits and upgrades.

Requirements

• Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with electrical systems is preferred.
• Local to Texas area.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
