About the position

The position involves delivering basic patient care in a healthcare setting, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, and vital signs. The role requires collaboration with a Registered Nurse to enhance nursing skills and provide holistic care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care including activities of daily living and mobility using Safe Patient Handling techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs and oxygen saturation accurately.
• Assist with basic wound care and dressing changes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform IV insertion and removal, urinary catheter management, and blood glucose management as needed.
• Provide support in ng insertion and management in accordance with nursing standards.
• Adapt to various practice areas as required.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with successful completion of nursing fundamentals skills.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
