About the position

The Student Rec & System Data Specialist at Magnolia School of Excellence plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining student data to ensure compliance with state and district requirements. This position involves data entry, accuracy checks, and collaboration with various stakeholders to support optimal student funding and operational compliance. The specialist will also assist in student scheduling, attendance tracking, and the management of special programs, all while upholding the mission of providing a high-quality education to students.

Responsibilities

• Collect and enter student and school data into district/parish and CSUSA student information systems.
• Verify, correct, and audit data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain student records, attendance information, and grade reporting in the SIS.
• Assist in student scheduling and attendance procedures.
• Enter Free and Reduced Lunch applications into the database and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Manage requests for student transcripts and maintain electronic and hard-copy records.
• Prepare and compile documents for data entry into school and district/state databases.
• Cross-train others on critical Entry Data Specialist functions and provide updates on marketing and enrollment projects.

Requirements

• 2-year college degree or equivalent experience (required) or higher (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information Systems (SIS).
• Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law preferred.
