About the position

The Admissions Coordinator organizes the recruitment of prospective students and communicates with these individuals regarding admissions requirements and eligibility, in support of Research College of Nursing's (RCoN) strategic enrollment goals. The Admissions Coordinator projects a professional, consistent image of RCoN, and works directly with area colleges/universities, community colleges, high schools and community partners to create relationships in order to increase the number of prospective students.

Responsibilities

  • Organize recruiting activities that engage prospective students and generate new prospects through a variety of recruitment events and activities at colleges and universities, community colleges, high schools, conferences, and partner organizations.
  • Execute best practice relationship-building with prospective students and their families in order to guide them throughout the enrollment cycle.
  • Provide preliminary student academic advising related to RCoN admission requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records within WebAdMIT, Liaison EMP, and SONIS as needed.
  • Meet admissions goals as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
  • Recruit potential Explore RCoN program participants.
  • Collaborate with Explore RCoN faculty lead to present information about the RCoN 'Early Admit' admission process to Explore RCoN participants.
  • Participate in select on-campus and virtual RCoN events as indicated by the Director of Admissions.
  • Assist with the implementation of recruitment and yield strategies to achieve approved admissions goals.
  • Participate in strategic enrollment planning activities as directed by the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and/or Director of Admissions.
  • Assist with the implementation of effective CRM communication plans to support prospective student inquiries.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in higher education or marketing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Relationship building skills and overall positive attitude
  • High level organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
