About the position
The Behavior Intervention Specialist in Specialized Settings plays a crucial role in supporting teaching staff by assisting with both individualized and group instructional activities. This position focuses on implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students in specialized settings such as IRC, SED, and SDC. The specialist is integral to fostering an effective learning environment tailored to the needs of students with behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist teaching staff with individualized instructional activities.
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students.
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students.
- Support group instructional activities in specialized settings.
- Collaborate with educators to develop effective behavioral strategies.
Requirements
- Verification of Education required upon application.
- Resume and Cover Letter required upon application.
- Clearance of drug testing at District expense required upon offer of employment.
- TB clearance and DOJ/FBI background clearance required at applicant's own expense.
