About the position

The Student Services Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting with the daily operations of the Student Union at Bay Atlantic University. This position involves managing event scheduling, overseeing the setup of the Student Union, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The coordinator will also handle maintenance requests and support special events, all while working under the supervision of the Director of Student Services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily student union setup.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of student union event use.
  • Assist in updating Student Union policies and procedures.
  • Manage special events as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Student Union and other assigned areas.
  • Enforce all Department and university policies and procedures related to the Student Union.
  • Ensure all games are in working order; troubleshoot and report issues.
  • Maintain sign-in log for games.
  • Monitor student access to the Student Union.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, some college preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially in collaboration with multiple departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment and experience in a high-volume service environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event management or coordination.
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
