About the position

The Student Success Coordinator at the University of Georgia's College of Engineering plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the student experience through recruitment, experiential learning, and student success programming. This position is responsible for coordinating on-campus recruitment activities, serving as a primary contact for prospective and enrolled students, and facilitating study-away opportunities. The coordinator will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support for students throughout their academic journey.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and host undergraduate prospective student events, such as information sessions and tours for the College of Engineering.
  • Develop strategies for prospective student recruitment, including outreach to high schools in Georgia.
  • Conduct information sessions about the College of Engineering and answer questions regarding programs, admissions, and scholarships.
  • Attend recruiting events on behalf of the College of Engineering, collaborating with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Inclusive Excellence.
  • Update recruiting materials and assist in creating reports on recruitment and enrollment statistics.
  • Coordinate and oversee study away programs for the College of Engineering, serving as the liaison for the Office of Global Engagement.
  • Guide students on study abroad programs and facilitate their applications, providing necessary information and support.
  • Assist with student success programs and events, connecting students to campus resources as needed.
  • Participate in office meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with students in a support role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UGA/USG systems.
  • Master's degree in Higher Education or a related field.
