About the position

The Student Teaching Assistant (TA) for CS-529 Fundamentals of Game Development at DigiPen USA LLC will support the lead instructor in delivering course content, assisting students with their learning, and facilitating a productive educational environment. This role is essential for enhancing the learning experience of students in the game development program, ensuring they grasp fundamental concepts and skills necessary for their future careers in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead instructor in preparing and delivering course materials.
  • Provide support to students during lectures and lab sessions.
  • Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Facilitate discussions and group activities to enhance student engagement.
  • Help students troubleshoot technical issues related to game development software.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of game development principles and practices.
  • Experience with game development tools and programming languages such as Unity, Unreal Engine, C#, or C++.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or tutor in a related subject.
