About the position

Cenovus Energy Inc. is offering an exciting Co-op opportunity for students in the Talent Acquisition department located in Dublin, OH, starting on January 6, 2025. This position is designed for students seeking to gain valuable experience in the refining industry while working alongside industry-leading professionals. The role involves meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments that will help students develop the skills necessary to build a successful career. The program emphasizes hands-on work experience and provides a supportive network that includes direct leaders, program leads, human resources, peers, and mentors. Students will have the opportunity to participate in networking events organized by the New Grad Committee, which includes group mentoring from senior and executive leaders, lunch 'n learns, guest speakers, technical presentations, and holiday celebrations. Additionally, students will engage in structured goal setting and performance evaluations, and they will have the chance to present their work-term learnings to the Cenovus Leadership team. For those relocating for the work term, a lump sum relocation payment may be available to assist with expenses. Candidates must have their own means of transportation, as public transportation is not available in field locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of campus recruitment needs by scheduling interviews for hiring leaders with students.
  • Update recruiting tracker and complete pre-employment checks.
  • Assist with recruitment tools such as Vidcruiter, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
  • Assist with student evergreen requisitions.
  • Support the campus recruiting process by prepping offers and moving through the ATS.
  • Create and foster a high caliber, best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Support Talent Acquisition events.
  • Support system enhancements and data integrity.
  • Assist with sourcing and attraction execution.
  • Maintain Talent Acquisition documentation and candidate communication.

Requirements

  • Available to begin work on January 6, 2025.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship for this role will not be provided.
  • A valid US Driver's License is required as this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in General Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term, or registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester.

Nice-to-haves

  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a master's or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
