The role involves assisting museum leadership in creating print and web graphics, updating existing designs, and producing new graphics from concept to production. This position not only helps students build their professional portfolios but also prepares them for a career in graphic design by providing practical experience in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Museum leadership with designing print and web graphics for Spindletop Boomtown Museum.
• Update and adapt existing graphics as needed.
• Produce graphics from concept through production.
• Execute the museum's digital strategy to promote Spindletop Museum.
• Help manage social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
• Assist with content creation for various platforms.
• Design clear and engaging graphics for print, including fliers, posters, brochures, and banners.
• Adapt print designs for web applications, including social media graphics and web banners.
• Follow Lamar University branding standards in all designs.
• Complete designs by assigned due dates.
• Participate in continued training through personalized programs via LinkedIn.
• Assist the Director and Program Coordinator with social media, design, and web advertising projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Lamar University.
• Preferred majors include Animation and Special Effects, Commercial and Advertising Arts, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, Industrial and Product Design, Marketing, Photography, Studio Arts, and Web Development.
