About the position

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking to hire a Content Writer for Inkblot. This position is crucial as it involves maintaining an active online presence that connects the student body with the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN). The role is divided into two main components: 60% of the duties will focus on writing original content, while the remaining 40% will be dedicated to promoting ASUN through mass newsletters. The Content Writer will be responsible for crafting engaging blog posts that cover ASUN-related events and services, as well as preparing newsletters that will be distributed via the Mailchimp system. This position does not involve direct supervision of others, allowing for a degree of independence in managing tasks and deadlines. The work environment is primarily office-based, with the employee working in a climate-controlled setting equipped with artificial lighting and a personal computer. In instances where space is limited in the Inkblot office, the employee may need to utilize computers in a common area. The Content Writer plays a significant role in shaping ASUN's image and ensuring that the organization remains connected with students. A lack of engagement or complacency in this role could negatively impact ASUN's reputation among the student body.
