About the position

The Studio Art Instructor position at Third Space Social Club involves leading studio art programs for adult students. The instructor will develop and teach engaging curriculum across various artistic mediums, fostering creativity and expression among participants. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about art education and community engagement, as it allows for collaboration in shaping the curriculum for future classes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach engaging curriculum for adult art students.
• Create 12-15 unique lesson plans monthly for 45-minute classes.
• Manage a classroom of up to 30 adult students during art projects.
• Attend office hours and work autonomously outside of scheduled hours.
• Participate in monthly in-person curriculum reviews with the Executive Director.
• Encourage creativity through various artistic practices such as hand-building, photography, and collage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in studio art.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom of adults.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Availability for weekday evenings and weekend afternoons/evenings.
