Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Studio Engineer supporting radio and television Media Production support services critical to the communications and archival goals of the Legislative Branch of the U.S. Government. GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects, build your skills, and grow a rewarding career. As a Studio Engineer supporting the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms in the United States Capitol building in Washington, D.C., you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on the Studio Engineer joining our team to ensure Congress' upper body has the technical and production support it needs to communicate effectively with the American public. Serving as the primary production and technical support resource for the Senate Recording Studio (SRS) and Executive Office, you will ensure broadcast studio system uptime to enable time-sensitive, ad hoc press engagements and production requests. You will provide Senate staff with Broadcast System and Production expertise, cross-train select GDIT staff to ensure backup resources are thoroughly familiar with the Studio Technical operations, and develop training programs for Senate staff that include basic troubleshooting diagnostics. Additionally, you will perform an initial baseline review and documentation of the technical environment, develop preventative maintenance programs and backup/redundancy Standard Operating Procedures to ensure system availability, and research, evaluate, test, and make recommendations to the Sergeant at Arms on an ongoing basis. Once an acquisition has been made, you will be responsible for developing an implementation plan, installing, configuring, and testing equipment, training staff, and updating the documentation.
