About the position

The Studio Photographer/Videographer at GreatNeckTools, Inc. plays a crucial role in the marketing team, contributing to the innovative creative culture of the company. This position is essential for visually representing the precision, quality, and innovation of the products through compelling visual storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a passion for photography and videography, along with a keen eye for detail, to produce high-volume, high-quality images and videos that align with the company's marketing and branding strategies. The role requires working closely with the marketing and design teams to create visual content that effectively communicates the features, benefits, and quality of the products. This position is based in Memphis, TN, and does not offer hybrid or remote work arrangements. As a Studio Photographer/Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-resolution images and videos of a wide variety of tools and equipment in an in-house studio environment. You will utilize appropriate lighting techniques and compositions to highlight the unique qualities of each product, ensuring they are presented in the best possible light. Editing and retouching of product images and videos using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, and DaVinci will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring consistency in style and adherence to branding guidelines. Collaboration with the marketing and design teams is essential for conceptualizing and executing product styling ideas that resonate with the target audience. You will also be responsible for maintaining photography and videography equipment, managing workflow to meet deadlines, conducting quality control reviews, and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in visual content creation. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and a proactive approach to improving skills and techniques in photography and videography.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-resolution images and videos of a variety of tools and equipment in the in-house studio environment.
  • Utilize appropriate lighting techniques and compositions to highlight product features and functionality.
  • Edit and retouch product images and videos using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, and DaVinci.
  • Effectively communicate key features and benefits through design and animated content.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to conceptualize product styling ideas.
  • Maintain photography and videography equipment for optimal performance.
  • Manage and prioritize photography and videography projects to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of product images and videos for accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in visual content creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Photography, Videography, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in studio photography and videography.
  • 3-5 years experience collaborating with creative peers.
  • Exceptional communication and strong conceptual storytelling skills.
  • Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and photo/video editing software.
  • Professional familiarity with equipment such as Canon R5, Canon 5D Mark III, GoPro cameras, and studio strobes.
  • 1-2 years minimum experience with generative AI integration in photo/video compositions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with highly reflective or chrome objects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hardware tools trades and/or the automotive aftermarket is a plus.
