About the position

First Team Subaru-Kia is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their growing team. This role is crucial for enhancing customer satisfaction and driving revenue through the sale of service and finance products. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage service operations, and maintain strong relationships with both customers and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Produce additional revenue by selling finance and insurance products to customers.
  • Meet and greet customers in the service lane.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Engage customers at their vehicle to efficiently check them into the service department.
  • Follow the service road-to-a-sales process.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and technicians.
  • Work with the Service Manager to secure reasonable profits from sales.
  • Coordinate service and repair work with the Team Leader to achieve completion times.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and ensure all promises and promise times are met.
  • Provide solutions for customers, including repair options and alternative transportation.
  • Advise customers on the specific needs of their vehicle.
  • Monitor systems to ensure technicians meet all promise times.
  • Offer a multi-point inspection to every customer and sell additional technician-recommended repairs or services.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and hold oneself accountable for achieving goals with limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of computers; experience with CDK is a plus.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with service department operations.
