About the position
The Subcontract Administration Specialist 2 at United Launch Alliance (ULA) plays a crucial role in supporting the General Procurement team at the Decatur, AL production facility. This position involves developing complex subcontract specifications, preparing RFQ and RFP packages, negotiating subcontract provisions, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. The specialist will work collaboratively with various teams to mitigate supplier performance risks and resolve issues, contributing to ULA's mission of successful space launches.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of complex subcontract specifications and work statements.
- Prepare request for quote (RFQ) and proposal (RFP) packages.
- Conduct bidders' conferences and analyze supplier proposals.
- Negotiate subcontract provisions and select subcontract sources.
- Create subcontract documents and administer resulting subcontracts.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and finance to mitigate supplier performance risk.
- Ensure compliance with ULA Supply Chain Command Media and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Communicate hardware/tooling/service requirements to suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP ERP System or similar ERP system.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading and tracking projects.
- Successful negotiation experience.
- Government, manufacturing, and/or commercial procurement experience.
- Supply chain procurement experience.
- Proficiency in Pivot tables and vlookups.
