About the position

The Subcontracts Administrator II position is a hybrid role that involves both collaborative in-person and independent work. The primary focus of this role is to manage the procurement process, including soliciting and reviewing supplier proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, and administering resulting subcontracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and resolving any issues related to supplier deliveries and invoices. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a fast-paced environment, while also supporting procurement compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Solicits and reviews supplier proposals.
  • Develops evaluation criteria for subcontractors.
  • Negotiates subcontract provisions and manages modifications.
  • Selects or recommends subcontractors and prepares awards.
  • Administers resulting subcontracts and manages supplier deliveries.
  • Coordinates material receipts and resolves contractual issues.
  • Develops subcontract packages and maintains subcontract files.
  • Defines terms and conditions for procurement of specialized materials and services.
  • Participates in Zero Defect initiatives with suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related subcontracts/procurement experience in aerospace & defense, or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with subcontract administration or procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry and regulations.
  • Understanding of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and EAR regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  • DoD Secret clearance eligible.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field.
  • Desire for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system.
  • Technical background with ability to read drawings and understand technical architecture.
  • Active secret clearance.
