About the position

The Subcontracts Administrator at Peraton is responsible for managing the full life-cycle of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations, and providing guidance to program managers on contractual requirements. This role involves negotiating subcontract terms, monitoring performance, and addressing complex contractual challenges to mitigate risks and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure complete compliance with CPSR requirements.
  • Provide full life-cycle subcontract management of various contract types, complexities, and sizes.
  • Monitor subcontract and vendor performance, funding, and invoices/budgets to mitigate cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with subcontract and procurement policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Identify and work with business unit and contract leadership to resolve complex contractual challenges with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Analyze, prepare, and submit requests for proposals/quotes for various business opportunities.
  • Support Program Managers by providing guidance on contractual requirements and mitigating the company's risk.
  • Manage the full life cycle of a Subcontract Agreement, including pre-award actions, start-up, and close-out processes.
  • Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or a Master's degree and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with subcontract types: FFP, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost Reimbursement (w/fixed-fee).
  • Familiarity with Fair and Reasonable determinations and Subcontractor price analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplements.
  • Ability to read, understand, and decipher required flow-down terms from the Prime Contract.
  • Experience negotiating subcontracts with other Government Contractors.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on relationship building.
  • Understanding of financial systems and purchase requisition processes.
  • Firm understanding of managing subcontracts with multiple contract types.
