About the position

As a Subcontracts Manager at X-Bow Systems, you will oversee the procurement process for various programs, utilizing your expertise in supply chain management and subcontracting to ensure that projects meet their schedule goals while adhering to cost, engineering, and quality standards. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, manage a complex supply base, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Procure components and complex assemblies for diverse programs and product lines.
  • Communicate status updates, action plans, and recovery strategies with program, planning, and operations teams.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procurement.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition to purchase order closeout, including sourcing, negotiation, and strategic partner oversight.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to manage specific projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies for on-time delivery, material cost reduction, lead time improvements, supplier rationalization, and working capital optimization.
  • Resolve procurement discrepancies in collaboration with accounting, suppliers, and other internal departments.
  • Support Customer Proposal process with pricing and Bill of Material development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry or other highly regulated manufacturing markets.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and International Trade Compliance.
  • Experience administrating variably priced purchase orders.
  • Experience working within an ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
