About the position

As a Subject Matter Expert - Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our U.S. Government customer located in the National Capital Region. This position requires a deep understanding of project management, systems engineering, and various technologies, particularly those used in Law Enforcement domains. You will be responsible for providing critical support in protecting our country while working alongside a team of driven and highly skilled professionals who are committed to delivering a positive customer experience. In this role, you will establish goals and plans to meet assessment objectives, leveraging your expert technical knowledge to define performance objectives and levels. You will also be tasked with understanding and describing anomalies or flaws in decision-making processes related to application development or acquisition. Your ability to validate requirements and deliverables of products and services produced by projects and programs will be essential. Additionally, you will resolve issues regarding program deliverables of various law enforcement technologies, ensuring that all projects align with the mission and objectives of the organization. The position offers flexibility in managing your work hours and personal needs, supported by a single accrual leave plan. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and management leadership on major technology assignments.
  • Establish goals and plans to meet assessment objectives.
  • Possess expert technical knowledge of various technologies used by Law Enforcement domains.
  • Define performance objectives and performance levels.
  • Understand and describe anomalies/flaws in decision-making of application development or acquisition.
  • Validate requirements and deliverables of products and services that projects/programs produce.
  • Resolve issues regarding program deliverables of various law enforcement technologies.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in IT or Engineering field.
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
  • DHS suitability clearance.
  • Experience with Department of Homeland Security.
  • Experience in systems engineering, acquisition, test and evaluation, sustainment.
  • Understanding of Systems acquisition lifecycle (e.g., ALF and MD-102).
  • Familiarity with IEEE standard 1012, IEEE Standard 829-1998, and the DHS SELC.
  • Excellent writing, communications, and briefing skills.
  • Certifications from DAU and DAWIA in Acquisition or test and evaluation.
