About the position

The Subject Matter Expert at AECOM will play a crucial role in supporting program managers throughout the RDT&E process. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including technology foraging, research and development, operational testing, and risk management. The expert will assist in defining project requirements, maintaining project baselines, and providing technical guidance to junior staff, all while ensuring quality and compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist program managers in executing programs within the RDT&E process.
• Define requirements and provide input to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain changes to project baselines and monitor deliverables.
• Conduct quality reviews of projects and tasks.
• Prepare presentations and materials to support project functions.
• Identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
• Draft correspondence, reports, white papers, and other documentation.
• Maintain and track action items and participate in meetings.
• Support the development of procurement requests and apply knowledge of the acquisition process.
• Provide technical and procurement guidance to junior contractor staff.

Requirements

• BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Social science expertise in the homeland security research space.
• US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Top Secret or Secret security clearances.
• Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

Nice-to-haves

• BA/BS plus 10 years of relevant experience or master's plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Software skills including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
