The Substance Abuse Case Manager at SRCC - Douglas County is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, service planning, and coordination to address various aspects of clients' lives. The role emphasizes a Strengths Based Case Management Model, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Intervention Skills to advocate for clients' needs and enhance their self-sufficiency. The position requires effective interaction with diverse populations and involves community engagement and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse issues.
• Develop and implement service plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Coordinate services and resources to support clients in achieving self-sufficiency.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the community and service systems.
• Participate in DCF Orientation for clients receiving cash assistance.
• Document client progress in electronic medical records accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensure through the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board of KS preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively with the public and staff.
