About the position

As a Substance Use Counselor at Groups Recover Together, you will play a pivotal role in the lives of individuals seeking recovery from opioid addiction. Our organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive outpatient treatment that integrates medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. We believe that recovery extends beyond the confines of an office visit, and our holistic approach is designed to support individuals in rebuilding their lives. You will be part of a cross-functional care team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers, all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality clinical treatment and support. In this position, your primary focus will be on leading group therapy sessions, which are essential for fostering community and building recovery skills among our members. You will have the autonomy to lead these sessions using your expertise, without the burden of managing every aspect of care alone. Your responsibilities will include managing your schedule and caseload, collaborating with team members on clinical service delivery, and documenting members' progress through outcome measures and client feedback. Additionally, you will conduct intake assessments to determine the appropriateness of individuals for our program and engage in community relations activities to promote our mission. We pride ourselves on offering a supportive work environment that values work-life balance, professional development, and a clear career path based on merit. You will have the opportunity to invest in your growth with paid time off for training and an annual stipend for continued education. Our commitment to quality care and member success is at the heart of everything we do, and as a Counselor, you will be integral to this mission.
