About the position

The Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) position at Catholic Charities Eastern Washington involves providing outreach and engagement services, intensive outpatient, and outpatient substance use programming. The role is part of the Community Behavioral Health Service - Substance Use Disorder Program (CBHS-SUDP) and requires adherence to various regulations and standards. The SUDP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment and support to individuals facing substance use challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groups and individual therapy sessions.
  • Conduct case management and assessments.
  • Provide referrals and engage with community partners.
  • Deliver effective outreach and engagement services for residents.
  • Assess and initiate necessary SUD services for residents.
  • Coordinate care with other providers to meet treatment needs.
  • Ensure treatment planning is patient-centered and culturally competent.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safety of patients and their families.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for case review and team success.
  • Provide transportation to SUD-related services as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Addiction Studies or Bachelor's Degree in Addiction Studies (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current SUDP license in good standing from Washington State.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of Harm Reduction strategies and interventions.
  • Familiarity with MAT services and Providers.
  • Experience with Motivational Interviewing and ASAM levels of SUD service provision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with homeless and vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of community resources and recovery within communities of Indigenous and other persons of color.
