About the position

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. The Substation Civil/Structural Engineer serves as an engineer on civil substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects. This role involves applying NESC, ASCE, and other applicable codes and standards in the engineering design. The engineer will independently produce steel structure designs and concrete foundation designs associated with rigid and strain bus configurations, foundation layouts, oil containment designs, metal grate platform designs, and fire wall designs. In addition to design responsibilities, the engineer will assist the lead substation engineer with the creation of general arrangement and conduit and grounding plans. Westwood prides itself on having a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
