Paxon Energy is seeking a skilled and experienced Substation Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the design, analysis, and optimization of substation structures, ensuring the safety, stability, and reliability of electrical substation infrastructure. As a Substation Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and civil engineers, to implement high-voltage electrical projects and deliver sustainable energy solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in the successful execution of these projects, contributing to the future of energy. In this position, you will work directly under the supervision of the Electrical Operations Manager. Your responsibilities will include performing structural analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity of substation structures such as foundations, steel structures, and equipment supports. You will utilize engineering software to assess load distribution, wind loads, seismic loads, and temperature variations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be essential during the conceptual and detailed design phases to optimize structural configurations and material selection. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and regulations, performing quality checks on design documentation, and preparing comprehensive technical reports and design specifications. Innovation and problem-solving will be key aspects of your role, as you will identify opportunities for enhancing project efficiency and sustainability while addressing complex engineering challenges. Additionally, you will provide construction support by collaborating with construction teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring alignment with approved design plans.
