About the position
Triton High School is searching for a dynamic Biology teacher to inspire our students and develop a love for the sciences. At Triton High School we value experiential learning and are committed to developing scientific programming that will support the diverse interests of our students. We are looking for an optimistic individual who is creative in their teaching approach and curricular design. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative with colleagues. An ideal candidate would have interests and potentially be able to instruct multiple scientific domains, including AP and College Prep Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will build rapport with students, parents, and families so that each group knows the teacher is fully invested in their success. This is a long-term substitute position that will last for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year.
Responsibilities
- Inspire students and develop a love for the sciences.
- Design and implement creative and effective teaching approaches and curricular designs.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the science department.
- Instruct multiple scientific domains, including AP and College Prep Biology and Anatomy and Physiology.
- Build rapport with students, parents, and families.
Requirements
- Strong background in Biology and related sciences.
- Ability to teach AP and College Prep Biology and Anatomy and Physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative teaching approach and curricular design.
