About The Position

The Orcas Island School District is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver for the 2024-25 school year. This position offers an hourly rate of $29.36. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to help their community and inspire youth while enjoying the freedom to set their own schedule. A two-day training class is scheduled for January 4th and 5th, 2025, and prior experience is not necessary. A training reimbursement stipend of $2,500 will be provided upon completion of training and 20 hours of paid substitute bus driving.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least five years of experience driving a passenger car.
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with applicable endorsements.
