Responsibilities

  • Prepare homemade breakfast, lunch, and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.
  • Follow easy-to-use preset menus and collaborate with the classroom team to create a positive mealtime experience.
  • Adjust menus as needed to accommodate food allergies.
  • Ensure all meals are nutritious and compliant with the Child Care Food Program mandates.
  • Participate in regular training on procedures and paperwork related to food preparation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of food service or housekeeping experience.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food preparation.
  • Commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Health screening and proof of a current negative TB test.
  • Up-to-date immunizations as required by Community Care Licensing (pertussis, measles, and influenza shots).
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of current auto insurance coverage.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of food service or housekeeping experience preferred.
