Responsibilities
- Prepare homemade breakfast, lunch, and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.
- Follow easy-to-use preset menus and collaborate with the classroom team to create a positive mealtime experience.
- Adjust menus as needed to accommodate food allergies.
- Ensure all meals are nutritious and compliant with the Child Care Food Program mandates.
- Participate in regular training on procedures and paperwork related to food preparation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of food service or housekeeping experience.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food preparation.
- Commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Health screening and proof of a current negative TB test.
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by Community Care Licensing (pertussis, measles, and influenza shots).
- Valid California Driver's License and proof of current auto insurance coverage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Nice-to-haves
- One year of food service or housekeeping experience preferred.
