About The Position
The Custodian position involves performing custodial work with minimal supervision, assisting with the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings. Responsibilities include cleaning various floor surfaces such as carpeted, tile, and wood; dusting, cleaning, waxing, and moving furniture; cleaning doors, fixtures, and glass surfaces including windows and framed pictures; disinfecting lavatories, restrooms, and locker rooms; collecting trash, flattening boxes, and placing them into a dumpster; loading and unloading shipments of supplies, materials, and equipment; and performing light grounds keeping tasks such as raking, planting, and trimming plants and shrubs.
