About the position

The Escondido Union School District is seeking a reliable substitute custodian. The position requires punctuality and the ability to follow through on assignments. Grounds for termination include cancellations of accepted assignments and failure to accept assignments within a six-month period. The substitute custodian is considered an 'at will' employee with no employment rights other than pay for services rendered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of school facilities.
• Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests as needed.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and effectively.

Requirements

• Ability to be reliable in attendance and punctuality.
• Must subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance.
• Submit to a general tuberculosis examination.
• Fingerprinting and completion of a pre-placement physical examination.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
