The Custodian at Evergreen Local School District performs general custodial duties to protect and preserve buildings, equipment, and furnishings. Responsibilities

• Performs custodial duties to protect and preserve buildings, equipment, and furnishings.
• Cleans assigned areas including floors, furniture, fixtures, walls, and windows.
• Removes trash regularly and sanitizes toilet rooms.
• Complies with safety standards for cleaning hazardous materials.
• Monitors building security and assists community groups as directed.
• Maintains accurate records and submits required paperwork on time.
• Participates in training to keep current with professional standards.
• Takes precautions to ensure safety and manage risks.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Custodial skills substantiated by training and/or work experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Demonstrates sufficient math skills.
• Displays flexibility, reliability, and self-discipline.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations.
• Meets mandated health screening requirements.
• Shows evidence of core computer competencies.
