About the position

The Substitute Elementary Teacher position at Aquinas Montessori School offers a rewarding opportunity to engage with elementary students in a Montessori classroom from January 6th to mid-March 2025. Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to elementary students in a Montessori classroom environment.
• Follow classroom routines, procedures, and the planned curriculum.
• Foster a respectful, calm, and positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the classroom assistant to support students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership, as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (preferably in education or a related field).
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A flexible, compassionate, and positive approach to teaching.

Nice-to-haves

• Montessori experience, training or certification is preferred but NOT required, but a willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy is encouraged.
