About the position
The Escondido Union School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Paraeducator SP Ed II. This role is essential in supporting the educational needs of students with special needs across various school settings. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide assistance in the classroom, ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional programs for students with special needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers.
- Assist with classroom management and organization.
- Support students during activities and transitions throughout the school day.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of 48 semester units from an accredited college/university or request to take the NCLB exam.
- Copy of college transcripts or a letter requesting the district's NCLB exam.
- Successful completion of a general tuberculosis examination.
- Fingerprinting and proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
