About the position

The State/IASA Preschool Associate Teacher at FCUSD plays a crucial role in supporting the educational program for preschool students under the guidance of the Preschool Teacher. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and are committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. The role involves working on an on-call, day-to-day basis across various elementary campuses, primarily in Rancho Cordova, and requires a strong foundation in early childhood education principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the educational program for preschool students.
• Support the Preschool Teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Engage with students to promote social and emotional learning.
• Participate in training and professional development as required.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• Completion of 12 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
• Experience in a Compensatory Preschool class and instructional experience with young children is desirable.
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certificate (In-Person Training ONLY).
• DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check and TB Test within the last 60 days.
