The Substitute Preschool Teacher/Assistant Teacher role at Play and Prep Preschool involves providing support in a licensed childcare environment, focusing on the health, safety, and welfare of children. This part-time role is essential for maintaining the daily operations of the preschool, especially during the absence of regular staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all children.
• Help children stay warm and dry in inclement weather.
• Manage risk in an outdoor setting and address student conflicts.
• Assist with centers and transitions, including dressing and undressing for outdoor activities.
• Support special projects like painting that may require additional hands.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to foster a positive environment.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential obtained or CDA in process required.
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
• Current background check available or must complete prior to hiring.
