About the position

The Anaheim Elementary School District is seeking a Preschool Teacher who will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing educational experiences for children in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Early Childhood Education/Child Development and will be able to maintain a healthy and safe environment for children. The position requires effective interaction with both children and adults, as well as the ability to observe, evaluate, and record child behavior. The district emphasizes a commitment to providing a safe and positive environment for all employees and students.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 15 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) and four years of teaching in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program, OR
  • AA degree with a major or emphasis in ECE/CD and at least two years of teaching experience in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program.
  • Valid Child Development Master Teacher Permit (or higher) issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
  • Copy of valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Copy of valid California Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of current concepts used in Early Childhood Education.
  • Knowledge of oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of methods of observing, evaluating and recording child behavior.
