About the position

As a Substitute Preschool Teacher at Acelero Learning, you will play a crucial role in supporting early childhood education programs that aim to create positive outcomes for children and their families. You will also be expected to adhere to Acelero Learning's policies and procedures regarding health, safety, nutrition, and other operational aspects of the center. Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with other teacher(s) in the assigned classroom and center
  • Support the social and emotional development of children using positive guidance approaches to deal with challenging behaviors
  • Encourage family involvement in the Head Start program and support the development of relationships between children and their families
  • Follow all Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations

Requirements

  • Commitment and passion to work with children and families
  • Effective communication and written skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Substitute Certification preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in early childhood education
  • Knowledge of Head Start programs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
